I’ve gotten into a bit of a pattern (pun intended)–each Monday I release a new cross stitch pattern. The last couple of Mondays I have sent Saint Cross Stitch patterns out into the world, and I continue to be blown away by the response. 2 weeks ago I released some Printable Jesse Tree Ornaments for kids to color and learn. Make sure to check those out if you haven’t yet–they are really cool!
I don’t know how much longer I can keep this up, but I have a new pattern for you today: The Nativity Characters in Cross Stitch–because I like to create the things I love in cross stitch. They are in the same style as the saints that I have been creating and you can get this entire pattern for $3.
As I was creating the last set of Saint patterns it struck me that I should work on a pattern of those present at the nativity. I had a lot of fun bringing these characters to life and I just love how they turned out. They are such a colorful, fun crowd! I struggled with the little figure of Christ, wanting Him to be bigger and more prominent. In the end, however, the only place it made sense for Him to be is in Him mother’s arms and, now matter how prominent I wanted him to be in my pattern, he entered the world as a tiny baby one quiet night in a stable.
As with all of my patterns this one comes as a single PDF. All 10 characters are on the same pattern, but you could easily split this up and create several different round ornaments for your Christmas tree–one with the Holy Family, one of the Shepherds, one of the kings and one for each angel. There are lots of possibilities here.
You can probably see it in the image above, but I also added an inscription at the bottom of this pattern. It is Luke 2:11 and read, “Today in the town of David a savior has been born to you, he is Christ the Lord.”
Thanks for all of the support already and I hope you love this pattern too!
Once again, you can get it HERE for $3.
