Hello! I have another cross stitch pattern for you today: Modern Apple Counted Cross Stitch Pattern. Perfect for teacher appreciation gifts! In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve been on a bit of a cross stitch kick lately and I am really in love with colorful projects that let me show off all the pretty DMC threads. This is a very simple project. Be as creative as you like with it–just head to the store, buy a whole bunch of colorful thread, print the pattern and get to work! In fact, here is the pattern:
As you can see, I only used black and grey in the pattern. Use whatever colors you’d like, but I would recommend using a lighter color and then a darker color and then lighter again, just so that the different sections don’t blend together. And, if you are making this for the special teacher in your life, here is a simple back stitch font pattern to add some personalization, like a name, year or room number. For the modern apple counted cross stitch that I stitched up I used 14 count aida cloth and am displaying it is a 5″ wooden embroidery hoop.
And, of course I had to take a picture of the finished product with all of my pretty thread…
I just love how it turned out with all of those colors! Aren’t you just dying to make your own?!?
Turns out I was not the only one inspired by apples. A couple of lovely bloggers have also been busy creating wonderful apple projects. Here they are–make sure to stop by and give them some love!
