I spent about 30 years of my life not really paying any attention to Valentine's Day. Confession: my only real boyfriend was the man I married...and we didn't start dating until I was 28. So that means that I didn't have a date for Valentines Day all those years before I met him. At the time I might have felt a little down about all those unromantic Valentine's Days, but I am almost grateful now. What did I miss out on? Anyone I would have dated before my husband would have been just a passing boyfriend and I'm pleased I saved all my love for my husband!
And I got lucky, really lucky with my husband. He is not only wonderful in a million different ways, but he makes sure that we celebrate important days properly. So, in the short time that we've been together, I've had some wonderful Valentine's. Maybe that's why I'm really getting into Valentines decor this year.
And beyond Valentine's day, together I really feel like my husband and I have created a life "where love can find a home". And that's better than anything! We have two beautiful children. Sometimes I feel so much love for my family that I'm afraid I'll explode!
So, here is a little project celebrating "where love can find a home." I hope you like this simple bunting I whipped up out of burlap. It is as simple as it seems.
Simply cut houses out of a piece of burlap using this template.
Next take a clean sponge and cut out a heart shape to use as a stamp.
Then sponge stamp a heart onto each house shaped piece of burlap. Once dry, hot glue to a ribbon...and enjoy!
Yeah! Valentines is great!
Thanks for being here!

This is a great and clever idea! Did you use any stiffener with the burlap or was it naturally stiff enough?
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Great idea :) Thanks for sharing!
